Who am I?
I'm a techie, and a designer, never satisfied with the ordinary. I run my own 3D studio. I'm the sort of person who needs to think outside of the box. Now I know why. When I was at school my Chemistry teacher told me, I was dyslexic, which did explain my spelling. However, since then I've discovered that for some people dyslexia sets us apart from the pack. It allows us to disregard normal and set up our own standards, to look at things from a different perspective. Politics is a bit like that. We can all want the same things but paint it in different colours.
What I want:
I want health, prosperity and opportunity. I want to stop destroying our planet and start making a difference. I want education for our children and adults. We never stop learning, and in today's society, we are learning new skills every day.
What we need now, is an eye firmly on the future. The past has shown us our mistakes, we cannot afford to repeat them.
What we want is a politician that tells the truth. The lies will soon be discovered, they sow distrust and polarise opinions. They divide the world, rather than bringing it together.
I want this country to be inclusive, not exclusive. To find similarities, not differences. To find reasons to encourage and work together. When you find a team with a focused objective, their desire and persistence pays off with results. That's what our communities should aspire to.
In one word: Opportunity. So many things we could achieve, if only we had the opportunity. New people with diverse opinions open up new possibilities. Opening doors to the future, of empathy and compassion, of learning, that there are so many different colours, and a rainbow is better for having all of them. A future for our children, and their children's children.
