These are misunderstandings I have encountered whilst canvassing.

Family Tax Credits

Liberal Democrats will NOT END TAX CREDITS, in particular child tax credits. We will reform them and make them Fairer.

We will fix payment for 6 months at a time to end the endless changes.

Even those higher-earning families who are affected will still be at least £155 better off overall as a result of

our income tax cuts.

WE WILL NOT SCRAP CHILD BENEFIT

Trident

Liberal Democrats are saying no like for like replacement for Trident to save money. We oppose unilateral disarmament.

Trident can last for another 35 years.

Road Repairs

Liberal Democrats want to see our local roads repaired, some are very dangerous.

We will cut new road building to put more money into public transport.
